Nylon or Polyester — Which Florida Bundle Is Right for You?

Nylon Bundle — The best choice for most Florida homes and businesses in moderate wind conditions. Nylon is lighter, flies easily in a coastal breeze, dries quickly after Florida's afternoon thunderstorms, and holds color well under the Sunshine State's intense UV. This is our most popular bundle for residential display from Jacksonville to Naples.

Polyester Bundle — Built for tougher conditions. If you're directly on the Gulf or Atlantic coast, flying from a tall commercial pole, or in a location exposed to salt air and tropical weather year-round, our heavy-duty 2-ply polyester bundle will hold up longer where nylon would wear out faster. The stronger choice for coastal properties, marinas, hotels, and resorts.

How to Properly Display the American Flag and Florida Flag Together

When flying both flags on separate poles of equal height, the American flag goes to its own right — the observer's left when facing the display. Both flags should be the same size. When both flags are on the same pole, the American flag must always fly at the top. No other flag may fly above it.

Bundle Size Recommendations

For a standard 20-foot residential pole, a 3x5 ft bundle is the most popular choice. For poles 25 feet and taller, a 4x6 ft set is more proportional. Use our Flag Size Calculator to find the right size for your setup.

Flying Your Bundle in Hurricane Season

Always take both flags down and store them indoors when a tropical storm or hurricane watch is issued. No flag is rated for hurricane-force winds. During non-storm periods, bringing the flags in during afternoon thunderstorms when possible will significantly extend the life of both flags in your bundle.
