Indoor American Flags

An indoor American flag is finished with a pole sleeve — a fabric channel sewn along the hoist edge — rather than grommets. It is designed to slide onto an indoor display pole and is used in offices, classrooms, courtrooms, churches, auditoriums, lobbies, and ceremonial settings where the flag is displayed stationary on a floor stand rather than flying outdoors on a halyard.

Gold fringe is optional but is the traditional standard for formal and ceremonial settings. It is the correct finish for courtrooms, government offices, military display, award ceremonies, and formal event stages. For standard offices, classrooms, and everyday institutional display, the no-fringe pole sleeve flag is the appropriate choice.
